In 2001, I had the concept for how businesses could spend less time cold calling and more time actually selling. I had zero experience in digital marketing but was able to get a basic website live and with the introduction of the Google AdWords keyword bidding model in 2002, I created my first lead generation business – Vendorseek.com. The lead generation marketplace was like the wild west during that time frame. Click fraud was rampant on the Google AdWords platform, there was no such thing as conversion tracking and most companies didn’t have a CRM. 

Initially, most companies were just sending traffic to their homepage and we were the first to develop dynamic landing pages that intuitively were able to help qualify and sort leads effectively. We continued to grow our process and became a dominant player in the B2B lead generation space. We have clients of all sizes who were buying leads from us and closing a lot of business through our process. In 2008, I was approached with an opportunity to sell the business and within months of that sale, I started WebiMax, a full-service digital marketing agency.

Thanks to a very strong non-compete, I was out of the lead gen game for a few years before I entered back in to the vertical and launched LeadGeneration.com. Today, we work with clients of all sizes helping them grow their sales pipelines. Our process has evolved immensely since the early days and we can provide drilled down analytics in to where clients best leads are coming from and how we can rapidly scale their pipelines.

Lead generation is not just a business to me, it’s a passion. I have the same feeling of satisfaction today when a client tells me that they have grown their business thanks for our lead generation process as I did when my first client told me they closed a deal from one of our leads. This passion is not just mine, it’s shared by my team, which many of them have been with me for over 20+ years in our lead generation journey.
